BoA adds first B737-500 to growing fleet

BoA - Boliviana de Aviación (OB, La Paz El Alto) has added a first ex-Aerolineas Argentinas (AR, Buenos Aires Ezeiza) B737-500 registered CP-2717 (MSN 24788) to its fleet of seven B737-300s. BoA has added two B737-300s and an A330-200 wet-leased from Hi Fly (5K, Lisbon) to its fleet in 2012 already as part of its efforts to take over routes and passenger demand from bankrupt competitor Aerosur (5L, Santa Cruz Viru Viru).

BoA to wet-lease A330-200 for new Santa Cruz-Madrid route

BoA - Boliviana de Aviación (OB, La Paz El Alto) plans to wet-lease an A330-200, reportedly from Portuguese ACMI carrier Hi Fly (5K, Lisbon), for its proposed first long-haul route linking Santa Cruz Viru Viru and Madrid Barajas. BoA plans to resume flights on this route previously served by defunct Bolivian airline Aerosur (5L, Santa Cruz Viru Viru) from as early as December 7. BoA sets November 22 as launch date for new Santa Cruz-Madrid route

BoA - Boliviana de Aviación (OB, La Paz El Alto) has announced that it will launch three times weekly service from Santa Cruz Viru Viru to Madrid Barajas from November 22 using an A340-300. While this has not yet been confirmed yet, it is assumed that the aircraft will initially be wet-leased from another operator. Amaszonas has launched Cuzco flights as first step of international expansion

Amaszonas (Z8, La Paz El Alto) has launched three times weekly CRJ-200 service from La Paz El Alto to Cuzco on August 27. It plans to launch additional similar regional routes in the future making use of the void left by the bankruptcy of Aerosur (5L, Santa Cruz Viru Viru).

First B737-500 delivered to Peruvian on lease from Aviation Capital Group

Peruvian Airlines (P9, Lima Int'l) has taken delivery of a first ex-Sky Express (Russia) (XW, Moscow Vnukovo) B737-500 (MSN 24825) on lease from Aviation Capital Group. It had so far only operated a fleet consisting of B737-200 and B737-300 aircraft with two ex-Aerosur (5L, Santa Cruz Viru Viru) B737-300s also recently being delivered as part of the contract with ACG.
