Myanmar Airways Int'l to offer Osaka via Cambodia charters

MAI - Myanmar Airways International (8M, Yangon) will begin operating a 3x weekly Yangon to Osaka Kansai via Phnom Penh flight with effect from October 8. The Bangkok Post reports the service, while scheduled, will in fact operate as a charter flight.

According to the ch-aviation route database, the only scheduled services between Myanmar and Japan are operated from Yangon to Tokyo Narita by ANA - All Nippon Airways (NH, Tokyo Haneda).

Denmark's DAT takes delivery of first A320

DAT - Danish Air Transport (DX, Kolding) has taken delivery of its first A320-200, OY-LHD (cn 113). Skyliner Aviation reports the former MAI - Myanmar Airways International (8M, Yangon) machine was ferried to Billund last week where it is currently being reconfigured into an all-economy 180-seater.

The Danish carrier's fleet largely consists of ATR42s and ATR72s alongside an MD-83 and an MD-87 all of which are used on scheduled, as well as chartered, passenger and cargo flights.

Bulgaria's BH Air redeploys A319 to Myanmar as RAK Air takes an A320

RAK Airways (RT, Ras al Khaimah) has substituted the BH Air - Balkan Holidays Air (8H, Sofia) A319-100, LZ-AOA (c/n 3139), it had begun leasing in early August, with an A320-200, LZ-BHG (c/n 2844), wet-leased from the same company. Sources exclusive to ch-aviation state that LZ-AOA has once more been deployed to South East Asia where it is again in service with MAI - Myanmar Airways International (8M, Yangon).

BH Air redeploys its A319 from Myanmar Airways to RAK Airways

BH Air - Balkan Holidays Air (8H, Sofia) has redeployed its A319-100, LZ-AOA (c/n 3139), onto a wet-lease contract with Emirati-carrier, RAK Airways (RT, Ras al Khaimah), effective August 5, 2013 ch-aviation can exclusively report. The aircraft was, until very recently, operating a similar lease in South East Asia with MAI - Myanmar Airways International (8M, Yangon).

Myanmar Airways International leasing an A319 from Bulgaria's BH Air

MAI - Myanmar Airways International (8M, Yangon) is set to take delivery of an A319-100, LZ-AOA (c/n 3139), wet-leased from BH Air - Balkan Holidays Air (8H, Sofia). The aircraft will replace two of BH Air’s A320-200s that were also wet-leased for the duration of winter. MAI also has another A319, XY-AGR (c/n 1791), leased from aircraft lessor ILFC.
