Pegasus takes over Air Berlin Turkey operations from Izair

Pegasus Airlines (PC, Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen) has taken over operational responsibility for its joint venture with Air Berlin (AB, Berlin Tegel). It now operates the three B737-800s previously operated by subsidiary Izair (4I, Izmir) on behalf of Air Berlin Turkey (Antalya) on its own air operator certificate. It is unclear what role Izair will play for Pegasus going forward as it does not currently operate any aircraft anymore.

Air Berlin Turkey to take over Antalya-Switzerland flights from Belair

Air Berlin Turkey (Antalya) will take over all of Belair Airlines (4T, Zurich)'s flights between Switzerland and Antalya from March 2013 operating four weekly B737-800 flights from Antalya to Zurich and two weekly flights from Antalya to Basle/Mulhouse/Freiburg next summer season. Air Berlin Turkey's three B737-800s are operated by Izair (4I, Izmir) and currently operate on routes from Antalya to Germany where they have replaced flights previously operated by Belair owner ...

Air Berlin News Update

Air Berlin (AB, Berlin Tegel) has requested for approval by the German antitrust authorities to be allowed to take a minority stake in Izair (4I, Izmir). The Turkish carrier is owned by Air Berlin shareholder ESAS holding (which also controls Pegasus Airlines (PC, Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen)) and operates the B737-800s of Air Berlin Turkey (Antalya). It has recently returned its remaining three A319-100s to the lessors.

Izair News Update

Izair (4I, Izmir) has returned both of its A320-200s to the lessors. It continues to operate three A319-100s for parent Pegasus Airlines (PC, Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen) and two B737-800s for Air Berlin Turkey (Antalya). It is expected to operate up to six B737-800s for Air Berlin Turkey, the joint venture between Air Berlin (AB, Berlin Tegel) and Pegasus Airlines, this summer season.
