Bolivia's Tarija to see first international flights in November

Amaszonas (Z8, La Paz El Alto) will commence scheduled international operations out of the southern Bolivian town of Tarija with effect from November 19. ch-aviation analysis of schedule data shows the carrier will operate 3x weekly flights to the Argentine town of Salta on-board a CRJ-200.

Tarija currently sees extensive scheduled domestic services from Amaszonas, Aerocon (A4, Santa Cruz El Trompillo), BoA - Boliviana de Aviación (OB, La Paz El Alto), and EcoJet (8J, Cochabamba).

BoA - Boliviana de Aviación to deploy B767-300(ER)s in October

BoA - Boliviana de Aviación (OB, La Paz El Alto) has secured financing for the purchase of three B767-300(ER)s due later this year. CEO Ronald Casso told the La Razon newspaper in an interview that the deal had been arranged via an undisclosed lease financing firm with the first B767, PT-MSQ (msn 27468), currently at Cochabamba awaiting its official unveiling. Bolivia type-certifies Xian Aircraft's MA-60 for operations

Xian Aircraft Company (Xi'an Yanliang) has been issued a type certificate for its MA-60 turboprop aircraft by the Bolivian civil aviation authority (Dirección General de Aeronáutica Civil - DGAC) paving the way for the aircraft to enter service in the mountainous South American country.

Boliviana de Aviación to start Miami flights on June 6

BoA - Boliviana de Aviación (OB, La Paz El Alto) will launch its first North American flights on Friday, June 6, airline CEO Ronald Casso has confirmed. In a statement, Casso said the 4x weekly service would operate with a technical stop in Panamá City Tocumen Int'l using a B737-300 initially. BoA - Boliviana de Aviación (OB, La Paz El Alto) has reportedly firmed an agreement with Xian Aircraft Company (Xi'an Yanliang) for four MA-60s due for delivery in the second half of this year. The turboprops will be placed with the carrier's nascent domestic subsidiary, BoA Regional (La Paz El Alto), which plans to serve Riberalta, Guayaramerin, Rurrenabaque, Villamontes, Uyuni, Potosí, Oruro, and Puerto Suárez.
