Jetairfly to operate ex-AeroMéxico B737-700 for ECAir

Jetairfly (TB, Brussels National) has won a wet-lease contract from ECAIR - Equatorial Congo Airlines (LC, Brazzaville) to operate at least one aircraft on ECAir's behalf according to Het Nieuwsblad en Gazet van Antwerpen. The first aircraft is likely a B737-700 (msn 33793), initially expected to be operated by PrivatAir (Switzerland) (PV, Geneva) on behalf of ECAir.

Belgium's Jetairfly expands Antwerp base ahead of 2015 launch

Jetairfly (TB, Brussels National) has announced it will supplement its initial Antwerp base operations with flights to Milan Malpensa, Berlin Tegel, and Barcelona El Prat. The three routes will come online in April 2015 with previously announced routes to Palma de Mallorca Son Sant Joan, Malaga and Alicante still on course for a May launch.

All routes will operate using an EMB-190 based at the Flemish airport.

EC investigates Belgian state aid to carriers at Brussels

Jetairfly (TB, Brussels National) along with Brussels Airlines (SN, Brussels National) and Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium (HQ, Brussels National) are under investigation by the European Commission (EC) for their access to EUR19million in indirect Belgian government subsidies spanning the last three years.

Belgium's Jetairfly to establish Antwerp base in 2015

Jetairfly (TB, Brussels National) will commence operations out of its newest base, Antwerp, with effect from May next year. Using an EMB-190, the Belgian carrier will offer flights to Malaga, Alicante, and Palma de Mallorca Son Sant Joan.

At present, Cityjet (WX, Dublin Int'l) and Flybe. (BE, Exeter) offer Antwerp's only scheduled flights to London City and London Southend respectively.

Arke Fly and Jetairfly to cooperate to Florida from November

Arke Fly (OR, Amsterdam) and sister carrier Jetairfly (TB, Brussels National) will combine their operations from the Netherlands and Belgium to Florida this winter season. Jetairfly's only remaining B767-300(ER) OO-JAP (msn 30840) will operate from Amsterdam via Brussels to Miami Int'l and Amsterdam-Orlando Sanford-Miami-Brussels and Brussels-Miami-Sanford-Amsterdam all on a weekly basis.
