Regional governments eager to assume control of MASwings

MASwings (MY, Kota Kinabalu) will likely be Malaysia's last budget carrier to ply the local market after the country's Ministry of Transport placed a moratorium on the issuance of Air Operator's Certificates (AOC) to new budget carriers (LCC).

MASwings (MY, Kota Kinabalu) will retire three of its legacy de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otters this month as it prepares to induct its sixth and final DHC-6 Twin Otter Series 400 aircraft in November this year.
