Our Airline to rebrand as Nauru Airlines on August 1

Our Airline (ON, Nauru) CEO Geoff Bowmaker has announced plans to rebrand and rename the airline to Nauru Airlines (ON, Nauru) with effect from August 1. Bowmaker told Radio New Zealand: "While the Our Airline (ON, Nauru) name has served the company well for the past eight years, the new name recognises the proud history of Nauru's aviation and the natural and primary role of its airline in servicing the people of Nauru."

Nauru's Our Airline set for first B737 freighter

Our Airline (ON, Nauru) is due to take delivery of its first B737-300(F) freighter, VH-VLI (msn 27125), following a period of storage in Kuala Lumpur Subang. The Nauruan national carrier currently operates three B737-300s on flights to Brisbane Int'l, Majuro, Tarawa, and Nadi.

Wet-Leased F100 and B737-300 temporarily replace Solomons A320

Solomons - Solomon Airlines (IE, Honiara) has temporarily suspended its own weekly service from Honiara via Port Vila to Nadi until March 23 because of a maintenance check for its only A320-200 H4-BUS (c/n 302). It however continues to codeshare on services operated by Air Niugini (PX, Port Moresby) and Air Pacific (FJ, Nadi) to both destinations. First B737-400 freighter to be delivered to Allied Air

Allied Air (4W, Lagos) will shortly introduce its first B737 freighter to its fleet. Former Our Airline (ON, Nauru) B737-400(F) (MSN 24529) is currently being prepared for the Nigerian cargo carrier at Jacksonville Cecil Field, FL in Florida. Allied so far operates with a fleet of three B727-200(F) aircraft with an average age of over 26 years. Its latest fleet addition has been originally delivered to KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (KL, Amsterdam) in passenger configuration in 1989.

Sideral Air Cargo News Update

Sideral Air Cargo (SID, Curitiba) will add a first B737-400(F) (PR-ADX, MSN 24529) to its fleet shortly. It currently operates a single B737-300(F). The new aircraft is currently being prepared for delivery at Brisbane Int'l after previous operator Our Airline (ON, Nauru) has withdrawn it from service giving up cargo services.
