Indian LCC Spicejet to lease three Czech B737s

Spicejet (SG, Delhi Int'l) is to wet-lease a trio of B737-800s from Czech ACMI specialist, Travel Service Airlines (QS, Prague), for a period of three months and beginning this month. The first jet, OK-TSA (msn 29250), was recently spotted in Prague sorting a hybrid livery ahead of its ferry flight to India.

As part of its turnaround programme, Spicejet intends to increase its B737 fleet from the current seventeen, to twenty-six by summer and thirty-three by the end of the year.

Czech operator Travel Service to lease a Mongolian B737

Travel Service Airlines (QS, Prague) is to wet-lease a B737-800 from MIAT - Mongolian Airlines (OM, Ulaanbaatar) to cover the upcoming summer season. Mongolia's national newswire reports the contract will run from May 15 to October 15, 2015.

The Czech ACMI/charter specialist operates two A320-200s, two B737-700s, and fifteen B737-800s across its Travel Service Polska, Travel Service Hungary, and Travel Service Slovakia subsidiaries.

Czech operator Travel Service to lease two B737 MAX 8s from ALC

Travel Service Airlines (QS, Prague) has signed longterm lease agreements with the Air Lease Corporation (ALC) for two B737 MAX 8 aircraft. Both aircraft are sourced from ALC’s Boeing (BOE, Chicago O'Hare) order book and are scheduled to be delivered in spring 2018 and 2019.

European Commission approves CSA-Travel Service deal

CSA Czech Airlines (OK, Prague) will shortly have a new shareholder structure after the European Commission approved a proposed transaction that will see CSA being jointly controlled by Český Aeroholding and Travel Service Airlines (QS, Prague) going forward.

The commission has announced its ruling on December 19 paving the way for Travel Service to acquire 34% in the Czech national carrier exercising an option by 44% shareholder Korean Air (KE, Seoul Incheon) to increase its stake in CSA. ...
