Atlantic Airlines (UK) takes delivery of first B737-400 freighter

Atlantic Airlines (UK) (NPT, Coventry) took delivery of its first B737-400(F) on April 26. Records show the aircraft, G-JMCR (msn 25372), was formerly with Turkish carrier, Sky Airlines (ZY, Antalya).

The ch-aviation aircraft database shows the West Air Sweden (PT, Gothenburg Landvetter) subsidiary also operates five B737-300(F)s and eleven BAe ATP(F)s

Swiftair to add a first B737-400(F) shortly

Swiftair (WT, Madrid Barajas) will add a first B737-400(F) to its fleet following the aircraft's conversion. The twinjet in question, msn 25163, is an ex-Sky Airlines (ZY, Antalya) machine that was originally destined to go to Rio Linhas Aéreas (RIO, Curitiba). Russia's Alrosa Mirny Air set to take on its first 737-800

Alrosa Mirny Air Enterprise (6R, Mirnyj) will shortly be adding their first B737-800, msn 32576, to their fleet of seven Tu-154s and one B737-700, VQ-BEO (msn 30293), currently wet-leased from Yakutia Airlines (R3, Yakutsk). The 737-800, currently in Dublin Int'l being prepared ahead of its delivery, was formerly with the now defunct Turkish operator, Sky Airlines (ZY, Antalya).

Ukraine Int'l Airlines set for delivery of first B737-900(ER)

Ukraine International Airlines (PS, Kiev Borispol) is set to take delivery of its first B737-900(ER), UR-PSK (msn 36086), formerly with the now-bankrupt Turkish carrier, Sky Airlines (ZY, Antalya). The aircraft is currently parked in Budapest awaiting its ferry flight to Kiev Borispol. Ukraine International also has four brand new B737-900(ER)s on order directly from Boeing (BOE, Chicago O'Hare).

Sky Airlines suspends operations following collapse of Kayi Group

Sky Airlines (ZY, Antalya) has suspended operations following the collapse of its parent company, Kayi Group. A message on the Turkish airline's website goes on to add that the indefinite suspension of flights is a result of "difficulties" with its international tour operators, GTI Travel and Illum, both of whom will now file for bankruptcy.
