    Ural Airlines (U6, Ekaterinburg) is to take delivery of six new A320-200 aircraft from Airbus Industrie (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) in 2014 as part of the Russian carrier's fleet renewal plans. According to aero.de, the jets will be leased and not acquired outright. Ural Airlines is currently an exclusive Airbus operator with two A319-100s, eighteen A320-200s and ten A321-200s.

    Ural Airlines (U6, Ekaterinburg) has been awarded a contract by Russian tour operator, Coral Travel, to operate charter flights between Moscow Domodedovo and Ras al Khaimah, in the United Arab Emirates. The contract runs from October 29, 2013 until March 29, 2014 and is a joint-venture with the Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) Tourism Development Authority. Previous operators of flights between Russia and the emirate had included Nordwind Airlines (N4, Moscow Sheremetyevo) and Orenair (R2, Orenburg). Russia is a key source market for Ras Al Khaimah, accounting for around 18 per cent of the visitors to the emirate.

    Ural Airlines (U6, Ekaterinburg) is set to bolster its fleet with the upcoming acquisition of two ex-Gulf Air (GF, Bahrain) A319-100s, (c/n 1884 & 1901), from global lessor, the ILFC. According to Ural Airlines' CEO, Sergei Skuratov, the A319s, its first of the type, will be deployed onto its "thinner" routes. The Russian airline currently has twenty-nine aircraft: nineteen A320-200s and nine A321-200s.

    Ural Airlines (U6, Ekaterinburg) has added three A321-200 previously destined for Russian charter-up Solaris Airlines which has not launched operations, another ex-Turkuaz Airlines A321-200 and an ex-ANA - All Nippon Airways (NH/Tokyo Haneda) A320-200. It has used the aircraft to replace its last three Tu-154Ms. Ural now operates 14 A320-200s as well as 9 A321-200s and is continuing with its rapid international network expansion and has added new routes from a wide range of Russian airports:
    Chelyabinsk-Dubai: weekly A320-200 service has started on October 7
    Chelyabinsk-Harbin: weekly A320-200 service has started on October 6
    Chelyabinsk-Vienna: 2x weekly A320-200 service has started on October 5
    Ekaterinburg-Harbin: weekly A320-200 service starting on February 4
    Ekaterinburg-Samarkand: weekly A320-200 service has started in June
    Ekaterinburg-Tbilisi: weekly A320-200 service has started in August
    Krasnodar-Dubai: 2x weekly A320-200 service has started on October 14
    Moscow Domodedovo-Cologne/Bonn: 3x weekly A320-200 service starting on April 2
    Nizhniy Novgorod-Dubai: weekly A320-200 service has started on October 4
    Nizhniy Novgorod-Namangan: weekly A320-200 service (already launched)

    Ekaterinburg-Bourgas: 3x weekly seasonal A320-200/A321-200 service (already launched)
    Ekaterinburg-Karlovy Vary: weekly seasonal A320-200 service has started on March 22
    Ekaterinburg-Kiev Borispol: weekly A320-200 service has resumed on May 18
