VivaColombia and Air Panama to enter Panama-Colombia market

VivaColombia (5Z, Medellín José Maria Córdova) will begin international services on August 1 with its maiden regional destination set to be Balboa near Panama City. The Colombian LCC says flights to the Panamanian capital will operate on a daily basis from Bogotá while Medellín José Maria Córdova will be a 4x weekly basis using its fleet of A320-200s. LCC VivaColombia to launch Peru flights later this year

VivaColombia (5Z, Medellín José Maria Córdova) is set to début operations to Peru later this year, Peruvian Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, José Luis Silva, has announced. No exact date or routes have yet been announced. The LCC will join other budget carrier's such as jetBlue Airways (B6, New York JFK), Spirit Airlines (NK, Fort Lauderdale Int'l) and Gol Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes (G3, São Paulo Congonhas) in opening up the South American country's airspace.
