China Eastern Airlines (MU, Shanghai Hongqiao) has announced plans to sell its 51% majority stake in cargo carrier China Cargo Airlines (CK, Shanghai Hongqiao) to its fully owned subsidiary Shanghai Eastern Logistics. China Eastern had just taken full control of China Eastern Logistics in December when it acquired a 29.7% stake in the logistics company from China Ocean Shipping Group and another 1% stake from China Cargo Airlines. Going forward CEA plans to consolidate all of its cargo operations in Shanghai Eastern Logistics. Shanghai Eastern's joint venture partners at China Cargo will continue to be China Ocean Shipping, EVA Air (BR, Taipei Taoyuan) and Singapore Airlines Cargo (Singapore Changi) with each of the three parties owning between 16 and 17% in thc cargo airline.
