Lufthansa CityLine (CL, Munich) could replace its fleet of twenty CRJ-700 regional jets with larger aircraft as part of parent Lufthansa (LH, Frankfurt Int'l) plans to change its regional operations. Lufthansa has already announced plans to remove all 70-seat turboprops from its operations by ending its wet-lease agreement with Augsburg Airways (IQ, Munich) in general and retiring the ATR72-500s at subsidiary Air Dolomiti (EN, Verona). It is now also studying the potential replacement of CityLine's CRJ-700s by additional larger regional jets.
