FedEx Express (FX, Memphis International) has taken delivery of its first of forty-nine B767-300Fs, N101FE (msn 42706), as part of its fleet modernization strategy. The US logistics giant intends to use the twinjets as a replacement for its ageing fleet of 47 MD-10-10(F)s and 15 MD-10-30(F)s. The 767 Freighter is based on the popular B767-300 airframe and is able to carry approximately 58 tons (52.7 tonnes) of revenue cargo with intercontinental range.
