Sólyom Hungarian Airways (Budapest) is facing financial difficulties before its launch according to a report by HVG.hu. According to the report, Sólyom manager Lucsik János has told his staff that the start-up could not pay salaries for the month of September as its Omani minority stakeholder would not yet have made its capital contribution yet. Sólyom had announced plans to replace Malev (Budapest) as the new Hungarian national carrier and planned to start operations with six B737-500s later this year.
