Gulf Air (GF, Bahrain International) and Dubai Airports have signed a Memorandum of Understanding in which the Bahraini carrier will become the first full-service network carrier to fly into Dubai World Central on December 8. Gulf Air says it will operate a daily service to Dubai World Central and intends to target travellers who value the new airport's convenience and proximity to new Dubai. Formal operations are scheduled to commence on October 27 with Condor (DE, Frankfurt International), Jazeera Airways (J9, Kuwait), Primera Air Scandinavia (Billund), Wizz Air (W6, Budapest) and Wizz Air Ukraine (Kyiv Igor Sikorsky) so far confirmed as other passenger carriers serving the airport.
