Croatia Airlines (OU, Zagreb Franjo Tuđman) has not received a single bid for a 49% stake in the carrier, Croatian transport minister Sinisa Hajdas Doncic has told local media. The news comes amid reports that Garuda Indonesia (GA, Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta) among others had shown strong interest in the Croat carrier which this year, is excepted to turn its first profit in six years. However, Mr Doncic said he was not worried given that a second tender was scheduled to be put forward next year. "Early next year, when we announce the second round for initial offers after publishing the airline’s 2013 financial results, there will be interest in Croatia Airlines," he is quoted by Ex-YU Aviation News. For the time being, the Croat national carrier will continue on with its restructuring program, scheduled to last until 2015. CEO, Krešimir Kučko, has resolutely said that the carrier has a clear development plan "regardless of whether it is able to find a new part owner or not."
