VECA Airlines (San Salvador International) is set to acquire its first aircraft ahead of a planned launch in early 2014. So far, according to Aerotransport, the El Salvadorean start-up has secured the first of two A319-100s, N1235V (cn 2718), formerly with Cyprus Airways (1947) (Larnaca). According to local newspaper, ContraPunto, the twinjets are on lease from the International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC) with the second due next year.
