East Horizon Airlines (Kabul) has become the first scheduled operator to serve Ghazni in the east of Afghanistan with the launch of twice weekly flights to Kabul on-board an An-24. The flight marks the inauguration of the airfield's new terminal which was recently upgraded as part of a USD7million project. The Afghan government has also earmarked funds to upgrade and lengthen runway 15/33 to allow for the use of larger aircraft.
