Jet Time (2006) (Copenhagen Kastrup) could be forced to apply for a Finnish Air Operators Certificate (AOC) in order to operate Summer charter flights between Finland and Turkey. "We operate as a subcontractor to charter operators. So when they want us to fly, we do what we have to to get it to work. Therefore, we have submitted an application to the Finnish aviation authorities to get a Finnish AOC," Klaus Ren, CEO of Jet Time, told Check-in.dk. Given strong demand from the Finnish charter market, Mr Ren did not rule out the possibility of establishing a Finnish subsidiary. As Turkey is not a member of the European Union, airlines wishing to ply routes between the two regions are often hampered by red tape and complex legal restrictions as in the recent case of Norwegian (Oslo Gardermoen) which was prevented from operating Denmark - Turkey flights under its Norwegian AOC.
