AZAL Azerbaijan Airlines (J2, Baku Heydar Aliev International) will take delivery of its first of two B787-8s on order in Summer this year. Quoting unnamed sources at AZAL, Central Asian Aero News says the aircraft, is due for delivery from Boeing (BOE, Washington National) in either June or July with the second set to arrive in November. The twinjets will reportedly be used in opening up new long haul flights to the United States and South East Asia among other destinations. AZAL's long-haul metal consists of two A340-500s, one A340-600, and three B767-300(ER)s.
