Emirates (EK, Dubai International) will only move to the recently opened Dubai World Central after 2020 Khalifa Al Zaffin, the executive chairman of Dubai Aviation City, has said. "Emirates have to move to the new airport at some point. They will move some time after 2020, when we have the capacity to accommodate them," he told Reuters. Commenting on Mr Al Zaffin's remarks, an Emirates spokesman said that any decision to move the airline's current operations from Dubai International to Dubai Central will be made by Dubai's government. Having opened on 27 June 2010, Dubai World Central currently sees scheduled passenger services from Air Kyrgyzstan (Bishkek), flydubai (FZ, Dubai International), Gulf Air (GF, Bahrain International), Jazeera Airways (J9, Kuwait), Malaysia Airlines (MH, Kuala Lumpur International), Qatar Airways (QR, Doha Hamad International), Royal Brunei Airlines (BI, Bandar Seri Begawan), Wizz Air (W6, Budapest) and Wizz Air Ukraine (Kyiv Igor Sikorsky).
