Rostock Airways (Rostock) has applied for rights to operate Zweibrücken to Berlin Tegel flights using a 100-seater aircraft this summer. In its report, Die Rheinpfalz newspaper said the carrier has already submitted its application to the government of Rhineland-Palatinate though neither party has confirmed the move. The last operator of flights between the south-western German city and the capital, germanwings (4U, Cologne/Bonn), suspended services in 2011. Rostock Airways will shortly launch scheduled flights linking Bremen Hans Koschnick with Zurich using an Do328-100 operated by Air Alps (Innsbruck) and will also wet-lease an Avanti Air (ATV, Paderborn/Lippstadt) ATR72-200 D-ANFD (cn 246).
