Garuda Indonesia (GA, Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta) has received interest from four undisclosed companies interested in acquiring a stake in subsidiary, Citilink (QG, Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta). Bloomberg Business says the airline's new strategic partner will be announced by June. In his interview, Chief Executive Officer Emirsyah Satar said the Jakarta-based company is currently planning an Initial Public Offering (IPO) for Citilink. The arrival of a new strategic partner is expected to bring with it capital needed to help the airline compete with the likes of Lion Air (JT, Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta). While Citlink has been a burden to Garuda's bottom-line in recent financial statements, the airline will perform better this year and not incur a loss Mr Satar added.
