Skymark Airlines (BC, Tokyo Haneda) will take delivery of its first A380-800, JA380A (cn 162), from Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) in either August or September CEO Shinichi Nishikubo has revealed. Japan's third largest domestic carrier, Skymark has six of the double-decker aircraft on order.
According to ZipanguFlyer, Mr Nishikubo also said that the A380s would be deployed in about December on Tokyo Narita to New York JFK flights.
Skymark currently operates as a domestic carrier serving 16 cities with a growing fleet of B737-800s, and soon, A330-300s.
