China Southern Airlines (CZ, Guangzhou) will deploy its first B777-300(ER), B-2099 (msn 43219), into revenue service between Guangzhou and Shanghai Pudong on March 2. The twinjet was scheduled to have been delivered from Boeing (BOE, Washington National) on February 25.

China's WCARN aviation site says the new 777 will be used to launch China Southern's much-awaited Guangzhou to New York JFK service on August 6.

The airline has ten of the machines on order with five due for delivery this year alone.
