Condor (DE, Frankfurt International) and TUI fly (Germany) (X3, Hannover) have begun evacuating hundreds of German tourists in the Egyptian resort town of Sharm El Sheikh after the German Foreign Ministry warned against travel to the entire Sinai peninsula.

Reuters newswire reports that Alltours has brought back 120 people from Sharm el Sheikh, while TUI Germany and Thomas Cook Germany said they were organising travel back to Germany for its customers there. Another German tour operator, DER, chartered an aircraft to bring back all 85 clients from its different tour operator brands that were in Sharm el-Sheikh.

The advisory follows the recent bombing of a coach carrying Christian South Korean tourists from Sinai to the Israeli border which killed four and injured fifteen.

The resorts of Hurghada and Marsa Alam on Egypt's mainland Red Sea coast have not been affected by the Ministry's advisory.
