Skymark Airlines (BC, Tokyo Haneda) has taken delivery of the its first two of ten A330-300s becoming the first Japanese carrier to operate the type. The airline has a total of ten aircraft on order, all of them on lease from Intrepid Aviation. Both JA330A (cn 1483) and JA330B (cn 1491) were ferried from Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) headquarters at Toulouse Blagnac to Tokyo Haneda on March 1.

Skymark Airlines’ A330s will enter revenue service in April 2014 from Tokyo Haneda to Fukuoka with Sapporo Chitose and Okinawa Naha to follow at a later date

The A330-300 received Validation Type Certificate (VTC) from the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism in January 2014.
