Frontier Airlines (F9, Denver International) has announced it will boost its Cleveland Hopkins operations with the addition of six new destinations including: Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson, Fort Lauderdale International, Fort Myers Southwest Florida, Phoenix Sky Harbor, Raleigh/Durham and Tampa International beginning June 13, 2014.

The news comes after United Airlines (UA, Chicago O'Hare) last month announced major cuts to its own Cleveland operations, effectively terminating the airport's hub status.

Frontier's current Cleveland operations include Denver International, Orlando International, Pittsburgh International, Seattle Tacoma International and Trenton, NJ in the US with Punta Cana and Cancún regionally.
