SaudiGulf Airlines (SGQ, Dammam) has signed a firm agreement with Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) for four A320-200 (sl)s, to be delivered in early 2015. As one of the two airlines to obtain carrier licenses to operate domestic and international flights from Saudi airports, the airline plans to launch its operations out of Dammam, in the first quarter of 2015 followed by Riyadh and Jeddah International.

“It is an incredibly exciting time for us, as we work to launch SaudiGulf next year,” said Tariq Abdel Hadi Al Qahtani, Abdul Hadi Al Qahtani Group of Companies Chairman.

SaudiGulf, which also has sixteen CS300 aircraft with options for an additional ten of the type on order from Bombardier Aerospace (BBA, Montréal Trudeau), is wholly owned by the Abdul Hadi Al Qahtani Group of Companies.
