Comair (South Africa) (CAW, Johannesburg O.R. Tambo) has announced an order with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) for eight B737 MAX 8s, valued at USD830million at list prices. The order was booked in December 2013 and was previously unidentified on the Boeing Orders & Deliveries website. It is the first 737 MAX order announcement for an African operator.

Parent holding group, Comair Ltd, operates low-cost carrier, Kulula Air (Johannesburg O.R. Tambo), as well as a British Airways (BA, London Heathrow) franchise. The combined fleet consists of seven B737-300s, ten B737-400s and ten B737-800s.
