Loganair (LM, Glasgow International) has taken delivery of its first Saab 2000, G-LGNO (cn 13). The turboprop is one of three expected this year and will be based out of Aberdeen Dyce for flights to Sumburgh.

Speaking to the Shetland Times, Phil Preston said the aircraft are all on lease with the second Saab 2000 to arrive on April 21. It will be used as a back-up for training, with the third based in Edinburgh for use on the Edinburgh to Sumburgh route from June.

Mr Preston said the company intends to acquire more of these aircraft to cater to growing demand.
