Adria Airways (Ljubljana) is set to take delivery of two CRJ900ERs, msn 15283 and 15284, that were originally intended for Iraqi Airways (IA, Baghdad). Sources at Bombardier Aerospace (BBA, Montréal Trudeau) reveal that the two jets will be delivered to the Slovenian national carrier in April and June as CRJ-900LRs with registrations S5-AAU and S5-AAV respectively.

It currently has four CRJ-900s in its fleet.

The CRJ-900s are to replace the airline's existing fleet of three CRJ200s in line with Adria's new strategy of operating larger aircraft with fewer frequencies.
