SKY Express (Greece) (GQ, Irakleion) is considering either the ATR42-320 or the -500 variant as a potential replacement for its fleet of three Jetstream 41s. The upgrade exercise is expected to begin after the upcoming summer season CEO Agamemnon Kikerakis said.

The Jetstreams, which have so far been the carrier's workhorse operating flights throughout the Ionian Islands, are due for gradual retirement FlightGlobal reports. In March Sky Express took delivery of its first ATR42-300(QC), SX-GRY (cn 12A), on lease from DOT - Danu oro transportas (Kaunas International).

Founded in 2005, Sky Express operates out of Heraklion to various popular destinations such as Athens, Kythira, Ikaria, Sitia, Kos Hippocrates and Rhodes.
