RwandAir (WB, Kigali) has taken over the Entebbe to Kigali route previously operated by Air Uganda (Entebbe). Though the Ugandan carrier had previously suspended the flights, it has now opted to codeshare with the Rwandans as a means of maintaining its presence on the route.

“We thought that it was wise to operate through a code share agreement we signed with RwandAir last year and instead focus on other routes until we have sufficient aircraft for all the routes,” Rebecca Asiimwe, Air Uganda's Kigali station manager, told the News Times.

Air Uganda has opted to use its freed up equipment to focus on building its Entebbe to Mogadishu route.
