Tunisair (TU, Tunis) has returned one of its four previously moth-balled B737-500s to revenue service. Skyliner Aviation shows that TS-IOJ (msn 27912) was recently seen back in the air on April 19.
On the back of hefty debts and a consequent need to cut costs, the Tunisian national carrier had hoped the arrival of its new A320-200s would herald the end of its B737 Classic and A300 fleets' service lives.
