Royal Brunei Airlines (BI, Bandar Seri Begawan) has signed a firm order agreement with Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) for seven A320neo aircraft, plus three options, as part of its fleet modernisation programme. Featuring a two class premium layout, the aircraft will be powered by Pratt & Whitney PW1100G-JM engines.

At present, the Bruneian national carrier's narrowbody fleet consists of two A319-100s and four A320-200s used on flights to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi, Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta, Denpasar, Hong Kong International, Kota Kinabalu, Kuala Lumpur International, Manila Ninoy Aquino International, Shanghai Pudong, Singapore Changi and Surabaya.
