Golden Myanmar Airlines (GMR, Yangon) will shortly take delivery of its first of two ATR72-600s, on lease from the Air Lease Corporation (ALC). The first turboprop, XY-AJM (cn 1148), was recently seen performing test flights at ATR - Avions de Transport Régional (EVX, Toulouse Blagnac) headquarters at Toulouse Blagnac ahead of its ferry flight to South East Asia.
The aircraft will based out of Yangon and Mandalay International for use on domestic Myanma services. They will also compliment the airline's two A320s on international services to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi and Singapore Changi.
