Mesa Airlines (YV, Phoenix Sky Harbor) has reached an agreement with American Airlines (AA, Dallas/Fort Worth) for the addition of six ex-Alitalia CityLiner (CYL, Rome Fiumicino) CRJ900 aircraft. The twinjets will join another 48 of the type currently in service for US Airways (Phoenix Sky Harbor) under the US Airways Express banner.

The term of the agreement covering the additional six aircraft is eight years.
