Skymark Airlines (BC, Tokyo Haneda) will at long last début its maiden A330-300 operations on June 14 with Tokyo Haneda to Fukuoka flights. The date, which follows three previous postponements, will also mark the type's first flights within Japan.

Although the A330-300 received its Validation Type Certificate (VTC) from the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism in January 2014, Skymark has blamed a lengthy type safety certification process coupled with a longer-than-expected staff familiarization programme for the delays.

The carrier currently possesses two A330-300s out of a total of ten to be delivered.
