Skymark Airlines (BC, Tokyo Haneda) will delay the entry-into-service of its first A380-800s by six months following problems in fitting the aircraft's interiors. The Japanese LCC was to have taken delivery of its first A380, JA380A (cn 162), from Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) in either August or September of this year with plans to use them on flights from Tokyo Narita to New York JFK as well as to Europe.

The news comes just weeks after Qatar Airways (QR, Doha Hamad International) also announced it would delay the deployment of its first A380 by "several weeks" also due to "last-minute problems" with the aircraft's cabin interior.
