ZagrosJet (Erbil) has confirmed Iraqi media reports that the airline will begin scheduled services from the Kurdistani capital of Erbil to London Luton next month. The Atlasjet Airlines (Antalya) subsidiary only started flights from Luton to Istanbul Atatürk last month.
Should flights commence, it will be the second Iraqi carrier to serve the United Kingdom after Iraqi Airways (IA, Baghdad) which flies to London Gatwick.
At present, ZagrosJet's only western European service is to Stockholm Arlanda.
