Finnair (AY, Helsinki Vantaa) operations to and from the northern Finnish town of Ivalo will be suspended between August 4 and 28 owing to building works and upgrades.

Airport operator, Finavia, says the EUR9million (USD14.1million) project will involve the expansion of the terminal building as well as the renovation of "traffic areas."

Finnair currently serves the airport daily from Helsinki with its own A319-100s on weekdays and E190s operated by flybe. Nordic (Helsinki Vantaa) on weekends.
