bmi regional (Aberdeen Dyce) is set to enter the Swedish domestic market with the launch of Kalmar to Gothenburg Landvetter flights on September 1. The route will operate double daily during week days using an E145 jet.

The British regional carrier will also inaugurate 12x weekly flights from the southern Swedish town to Berlin Tegel on the same day marking Kalmar's first direct link with Germany.

“It is really gratifying to get another destination from our airport with bmi. Their service to Kalmar Öland Airport will be a welcome and important addition to the routes available from Gothenburg Landvetter Airport, especially for businesses in our region," Charlotte Ljunggren, Airport Director, Swedavia, Gothenburg Landvetter Airport, said.

The ch-aviation route database shows SAS Scandinavian Airlines (SK, Copenhagen Kastrup) and Kalmarflyg (Kalmar) also offer connections to Stockholm Arlanda and Stockholm Bromma respectively.
