Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras (AD, São Paulo Viracopos) will deploy its first A330-200, PR-AIZ (cn 527), on domestic flights ahead of its international debut in December of this year.
Pending authorization from the Brazilian civil aviation authority (Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil - ANAC), the domestic carrier will deploy the A330 on the following flights routed out of São Paulo Viracopos: to Recife from September 1; to Manaus International from September 21 to November 30; to Rio de Janeiro International from September 7 to 28; to Brasília Juscelino Kubitschek International only on September 25.
According to the ch-aviation aircraft database, an additional two A330-200s destined for Azul - PR-AIV (cn 532) and PR-AIY (cn 494) - are currently in storage in Lake Charles Chennault and Lourdes/Tarbes respectively.
