ANA - All Nippon Airways (NH, Tokyo Haneda) has taken delivery of its first of forty-four B787-9s on order from Boeing (BOE, Washington National). The aircraft, JA830A (msn 34522), was ferried from Everett to Tokyo Haneda on July 28.

JA830A is expected to make its debut on August 4 with a special one-off publicity flight for Japanese and American elementary school children living in Japan from Haneda Airport flying over Mount Fuji, one of Japan's best known landmarks, and back. Thereafter, on August 7, it will be deployed on flights from Tokyo Haneda to Fukuoka, Matsuyama, and Osaka Itami.

The -9s, which are intended as replacements for the carrier's ageing fleet of B777-200s, will now enter revenue service in September on Japanese domestic flights.
