Spring Airlines Japan (Tokyo Narita) débutted its inaugural flights on Friday, August 1, after twice postponing its original May launch date citing Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism inspections (MLITT) crew training requirements among other issues.

The Spring Airlines (9C, Shanghai Hongqiao) subsidiary currently has three B737-800s in service on 5x daily flights connecting its Tokyo Narita hub with Takamatsu, Hiroshima International, and Saga.
