Xiamen Airlines (MF, Xiamen) will take delivery of its first of six B787-8s on order from Boeing (BOE, Washington National) on August 30. The Chinese carrier said in a press release that its first Dreamliner, B-2768 (msn 41538), which completed its initial test flights earlier this month, is scheduled to arrive in Xiamen on August 31.

Thereafter, the twinjet will enter revenue service in early September on flights between Xiamen and Beijing Capital as well as to Singapore Changi and Kuala Lumpur International.

In the long term, the B787 will be used to launch intercontinental services to cities in Australia, Europe and North America.
