Mountain Aviation (Denver Rocky Mountain) has been acquired by a private investment group seeking to develop the company's strong position in the turboprop and jet charter market. Despite the change in ownership, the firm says it will continue to focus primarily on its existing Rocky Mountain Region aviation clients, and will also seek to provide additional aviation services to the oil and gas industry and government services markets.

Cam Kenyon, previously the EVP Operations at WestJet (WS, Calgary) and the President of Lynx Aviation (United States of America) (Denver International), has been appointed as the company's Executive Director and will be working closely with the company's management and ownership teams.

Founded in 1993, Mountain Aviation is the largest aircraft management and private jet charter company based in the Rocky Mountain Region. With additional bases at Denver Centennial, Vail/Eagle, Aspen, Fort Collins/Loveland, Telluride as well as Boise and Sun Valley, Idaho, the company operates a diverse fleet of Cessna Aircraft Company (Wichita Cessna Aircraft Field), Hawker Beechcraft (Wichita Beech Factory), Gulfstream Aerospace (GLF, Savannah International), and Learjet aircraft.
