Shandong Airlines (SC, Jinan) completed the phase-out of its B737-300 fleet with the successful completion of the type's last scheduled flight on Wednesday, August 20. China's WCARN aviation news portal says B-2968 (msn 28158) will join the carrier's other -300s that are destined to be converted into freighters with China Postal Airlines (CF, Nanjing).

The Air China (CA, Beijing Capital) subsidiary continues to operate three B737-700s, sixty-six B737-800s, and two CRJ700s. An additional sixteen Next-Generation B737s and thirty-four B737 MAXs are scheduled to join the fleet until 2020.
